The Challenge

Universal Music’s vast catalogue of recordings and songs stretches back over a century and comprises the largest, most diverse and culturally rich collection of music ever assembled. Hypertspots saw this as an opportunity to showcase what is possible with clickable technology, applying its tagged layer to the content below

The Solution

Hyperspots technology is used to showcase ‘What Wiz wears’ (Wiz Khalifa), where he is talking about his favourite designers and brands. During the video, consumers are able to click on items that appear visually on screen, save these items inside their personal drawer and click to purchase these items. Hyperspots has also added the technology three images below

Cameron Jibril Thomaz, known professionally as Wiz Khalifa, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and actor. He released his debut album, Show and Prove, in 2006, and signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2007

Informative Vs Discovery

The images with the icons lead the viewer to click on specific items in the content. We call this ‘Informative‘ where the brand is guiding the consumer to click on a specific area/item. Where there are no visual cues is referred to as ‘Discovery‘, the user interacts with the content, clicking where they believe Hyperspots are, therefore discovering items. We capture all places where the user has clicked, whether there is a Hypertspots or not, which we call ‘Missed Opportunity’ – a powerful insight into what consumers are interested in
